New Projects

I made these from different slices of fabrics i had laying around. I just got a new sewing machine (working) its a Singer "Talent" and I love it. It does everything I need it to do, and more! The more part is what I haven't figured out yet, but that's okay. I am taking the machine to college with me. Which, in fact, it is less than a month until move in day. I'm super excited. My room is pretty empty by now, I've packed all my clothing, and a lot of random things I'm taking. I won't list it all, in hopes not to bore you. But I have tons of crafty things which I don't know what I'll take or what I'll keep here, or get rid of. I am really trying hard to sift through everything. But you know us crafty people, we can't throw anything away. So most of it will probably come with me and the rest will stay here.

This is a bag I made. Blue and yellow stripes.

Black and White Scarf. About Six ft.

Front side of Pink Skull bag. White Liner.

Back side of Pink Skull Bag. Perfect for school, with pretty purple pockets.

I hope you enjoy this weeks new crafts! Hopefully more to come before I go to school! Otherwise, see you then! Peace.

"JOY" Shakers

So I'm doing a VBS this summer with my church, the theme is JOY. So I have to plan the crafts. Here is the first craft I'm going to make with the kids.

You will need:
3 oz. Plastic Cups
Beads
Tape
Markers/Sharpies

1. Grab two small cups, put some beads into one of the cups.

Step 1

2. Tape the two cups together, creating a vessel with beads inside.

Step 2

3. Decorate the outside with the letters "J O Y" or whatever you want. Draw flowers, rainbows. Add stickers, whatever your heart desires.

Step 3
That is all! I have another craft for VBS I'm working on still coming soon. I'll probably blog about that one too. Have a great day and thanks for reading!

Summer Lovin'

Okay so no this is not about musicals, but I am lovin summer! I hope you are having a great one. I am coming to you from my room of course, but I am very sorry I have not been able to come to you any sooner. This summer (since the beginning of June has been the busiest summer I've had yet. And to think its almost over (mid-way through July just about) and its only forty days until I move into my dorm room. I hope I'll be posting a bunch more about my life when I get to school then. I have been doing my fair share of crafts, I'll post some pictures of my newest and greatest creations. Some I'm very proud of and some I'm not so proud of, but I'll show them off anyways. I have had one full week out of my four weeks of Manatawny down. Tomorrow starts the second week. So I have two more after that to finish before I move in.

Some accomplishments this summer include:
  • Winning 1st Place for Girls Best Bible Student at my week of Camp
  • Barely talking to any one in my graduated class thus far!
  • And pretty much getting along with my youngest sister, Katie. That's quite a feat!
Also, I got my sewing machine fixed, so I've started some new projects, I'll post pictures later. Other than that, my room is a mess... So gotta clean and pack before tomorrow! Have a great week everyone, see you later!

Day 4: Drawing Challenge

Here's two more drawings I did for the challenge. I hope you enjoy! Oh, and here's the list again, just in case you forgot. :)

4. The contents of your refrigerator. Okay, so I sorta got lazy and didn't want to draw all the details of the bags, sue me.

I don't have a medicine chest!! 5. Draw what's on your sink (not med chest...)

Oh, and here's a bonus shot of my butt, for all you guys out there, back off because I've got a boyfriend who can beat you up. Anyways, its a shot of my new shorts I just made. It was a lot of fun cutting them up and washing them because I couldn't wait to try them on! I hoped to have a pair already (store bought) but since I didn't have the cash, I just cut up an old pair of jeans and look what happened... :)

Yeah, this is MY life as Liz.... xD

Breakfast

This is my newest recipe for breakfast. Its really really really good! I think everyone should try this! Esp if you like Mexican food, its kinda spicy but mostly tasty.

Instructions:

Heat flour tortilla, with shredded mexican cheese mix on top in microwave.
Use Taco Bell's Fire Roasted sauce or mild salsa to mix with three eggs. Cook like an omelet.
As omelet finishes melt more of that tasty cheese on top.
Put on some of the most amazing bean and corn salsa, yeah you know what I'm talking about...
And dollop with Non-Daisy sour cream. Yeah, we don't do Daisy here...
Side with some seasoned waffle fries or toast or fruit or nothing. Add a glass of orange juice.
Then eat with a fork until you can eat the rest like a taco.
Enjoy!! :)

Day 3

The drawing challenge continues, and honestly today it wasn't as much of a challenge. I drew #3 my room just before it was cleaned, and no I have not cleaned it yet. I will after I post this... But my challenge was quite relaxing since its the afternoon and I don't really feel like cleaning.

3. Just before your room is clean, draw it.

This is actually just a portion of dirtiness; I've got a lot piles of paper and art supplies as you can see. There is a frame, a coke painting, a binder of sketches, and a canvas. Can you spot them all? Also, there is a white bag of clothing not trash, just to clarify. I do have a trash can. :)

Anyways until next time,

Day 1 & 2 Drawings

Remember that list I posted of interesting things to draw way back when?  Well I've begun the challenge. These are the first two on the list and I plan to do either one or two a day, to the best of my ability. These are just sketches done in maybe 20-30 mins because I am too lazy to seriously sketch all the details to scale. I am a lazy artist sometimes. But I am hoping this quick sketching will keep me fresh this summer before college. Which reminds me: I graduated this weekend! I am so happy to have finished high school. We also had a rockin' awesome party on Saturday for me and my cousin! :)

1. Draw the contents of your closet.

2. Draw the inside of your desk drawer.

Also, hopefully if all goes according to plan, more interviews should be coming. Thanks ya'll!
