New Projects

I made these from different slices of fabrics i had laying around. I just got a new sewing machine (working) its a Singer "Talent" and I love it. It does everything I need it to do, and more! The more part is what I haven't figured out yet, but that's okay. I am taking the machine to college with me. Which, in fact, it is less than a month until move in day. I'm super excited. My room is pretty empty by now, I've packed all my clothing, and a lot of random things I'm taking. I won't list it all, in hopes not to bore you. But I have tons of crafty things which I don't know what I'll take or what I'll keep here, or get rid of. I am really trying hard to sift through everything. But you know us crafty people, we can't throw anything away. So most of it will probably come with me and the rest will stay here. 

This is a bag I made. Blue and yellow stripes.

"JOY" Shakers

So I'm doing a VBS this summer with my church, the theme is JOY. So I have to plan the crafts. Here is the first craft I'm going to make with the kids.

You will need:
3 oz. Plastic Cups
Beads
Tape
Markers/Sharpies




1. Grab two small cups, put some beads into one of the cups.

Step 1

2. Tape the two cups together, creating a vessel with beads inside.

Step 2

3. Decorate the outside with the letters "J O Y" or whatever you want. Draw flowers, rainbows. Add stickers, whatever your heart desires.

Step 3

Summer Lovin'

Okay so no this is not about musicals, but I am lovin summer! I hope you are having a great one. I am coming to you from my room of course, but I am very sorry I have not been able to come to you any sooner. This summer (since the beginning of June has been the busiest summer I've had yet. And to think its almost over (mid-way through July just about) and its only forty days until I move into my dorm room. I hope I'll be posting a bunch more about my life when I get to school then. I have been doing my fair share of crafts, I'll post some pictures of my newest and greatest creations. Some I'm very proud of and some I'm not so proud of, but I'll show them off anyways. I have had one full week out of my four weeks of Manatawny down. Tomorrow starts the second week. So I have two more after that to finish before I move in.

Some accomplishments this summer include:

• Winning 1st Place for Girls Best Bible Student at my week of Camp
• Barely talking to any one in my graduated class thus far! 
• And pretty much getting along with my youngest sister, Katie. That's quite a feat! 

Also, I got my sewing machine fixed, so I've started some new projects, I'll post pictures later. Other than that, my room is a mess... So gotta clean and pack before tomorrow! Have a great week everyone, see you later!
